NovaDry
Our breakthrough non-thermal waste-drying technology
The Problem of Wet Waste
Moisture in waste makes it challenging to use and costly to transport or dispose of. At landfills, the moisture causes municipal solid waste to decompose, polluting our soil and our planet.
We collaborated with the world’s leading experts to create NovaDry, our breakthrough system that efficiently removes moisture from any solid waste feedstock and pulverizes it into a high-quality solid fuel that can produce clean power, cement, or sustainable fuels.
Using only proven industrial equipment and leveraging a natural process called nucleation, NovaDry turns wet waste into a dry carbon-negative fuel at lower costs than existing conventional technologies.
NovaDry Advantages
-
85% LESS ENERGY
than conventional drying methods. (Lowest energy consumption system to dry waste)
-
SIMPLE SYSTEM
No Heat, No Pressure, No VOCs (Works with any ambient air temperature or humidity)
-
MODULAR & SCALABLE
Small Footprint
-
LOW MAINTENANCE
Proven industrial equipment can handle diverse feedstocks
NovaDry Process
Our innovative drying solution comprises a straightforward, all-in-one system integrating an industrial shredder with ambient air injection, effectively extracting over 60% moisture from waste without the need for heat or pressure.
Through our patented NovaDry technology, which utilizes established industrial equipment, the process generates fine dust particles that facilitate the separation of moisture from solid waste, forming clouds known as nucleation. This moisture is subsequently released harmlessly into the atmosphere, devoid of any volatile organic compounds or toxins. What remains is a finely shredded, dry solid fuel devoid of methane emissions, odors, or leachate, offering a sustainable waste management alternative.
| STEP 1
Large pieces pulverize and release water
| STEP 2
As particles become smaller, more water is released
| STEP 3
Water becomes attracted to micro particles to forms clouds, called nucleation
| STEP 4
Dry material and moisture laden air exit the system
